How it all began !

2004, Valentin OMAN and Thomas MORA met in a local in Vienna, called “Salzberg”, with their

instruments and i-books. Together with friends and musicians they started a Sunday jam session

where unconstrained and unforgettable live performances emerged spontaneously.

Most of these sessions ended in raucous parties. Soon, distinctive songs developed from the

recordings and, encouraged by numerous fans, the duo cut it`s first album “Salzberg- the chillin

sessions”. !

The following 5 years, they dedicated themselves to diverse projects. Most of the time, they were on

stage as session musicians with several stars. !

End of 2008, the idea of producing another album arose. The Greek Island Santorin was the inspiring

setting for the songwriting. Away from the city`s goings-on, half of the new songs developed in winter

2008. The following guest performance in Sydney/ Australia became a musical round trip where local

musicians and performances at Bondi Beach rendered enough material for further songs. Back in

Vienna, the musical “rough diamonds” were refined by numerous musicians in the studio. That`s

when the album “touring” started to come into being. !

With “touring” in the luggage Ramon started travelling around Europe with a compact and powerful

live line up. Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Vocals & a touch of Electronics. That was the time when UK

Vocalist Carl Avory, who had guest appearances on “touring” became a full time featured artist to

the Ramon Clan. !

After enjoying themselves as an “ass kicking live act” in 2011 it was about time think about a new

release. the band got together with their live drummer George Beck in the studio to jam and write

some material. That was the kick-off for ! Orbiter !

From the Earth to Jupiter, Saturn and beyond. With their album "Orbiter" Ramon take us on a sound

journey through the groove universe. From fast to slow - accompanied by the distinctive voice of Carl

Avory, who is also responsible for the lyrics. !

Groove. There is no better headline for the new album. Ramon recorded 13 remarkable pieces of

music. No, 13 is in this case no unlucky number - for there are 13 pieces that will delight any lover of

unique adult music. Once it grooves a little quieter, it must be listened to the lyrics that you might

almost forget at the upbeat tracks before toe-tapping. Caution is especially necessary when listening

in the car - Dance Danger! !

Thematically Ramon take us with "Orbiter" - as the album title already suggests - on an acoustic

journey through the universe, driven by funk, dance beats and a heavy dose of soul. As in space, it is

sometimes quite loud. And then again, in the black depths of space, it is soft when Carl Avory begins

to sing the smooth ballads.

Special care and attention have Ramon put into production. The album, created in Vienna, was

recorded exclusively with analog equipment. You can feel the Moog bass, amazed listen again a

Hammond Organ, Fender Rhodes´ dirty grooves and can be carried away by the horn section. In

addition to the pilots Mora and Oman of course, the rest of the crew of "Orbiter" is hand-picked and

the cast list reads like a "Who's Who" of the sound-rounders of the country. Enjoy this trip - and it is a

trip! !
